Mrs. Scheer Dies Here Thurs.

Funeral services for Rosa M. Scheer, 86, were held from the Peet Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, with the Rev. Frank Bozart officiating. Mrs. Scheer died May 29 in the Niobrara County Memorial Hospital after five weeks illness.

Pallbearers, all grandsons, were Vernon Scheer, Jerry Baker, Ed Foote, Roy Foote, Joe Smith. Honorary bearers were Dave Foote, Henry Lenz, Bill Glandt, Calvin Beers, Lake Harris.

Mrs. Lyle Eddy sang "The Lord's Prayer" and "Rock of Ages" accompanied by Mrs. A.F. DeCastro.

Burial was in the Jay Em Cemetery.

Rosa M. Scheer was born to Mrs. and Mrs. Jacob Bartman July 5, 1877 in La Salle County, Ill.

She was married to L.H. Scheer October 22, 1899 at Norfolk, Neb. The family moved to Oklahoma and later to Goshen County and located near Jay Em in 1914.

They were the parents of five children. One daughter and two sons died previously.

Surviving are her husband and two sons, Arthur of Jay Em, and Louis of Lander; 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
