Donald C. Straight
Graveside services for Donald C. Straight, age 73, of Edgemont, S.D., were held at 10 a.m. Saturday morning, Sept. 29, 1990, in the Lusk cemetery with Rev. Marilyn Engstrom officiating.
He died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 1990 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Hot Springs, S.D. He was born Jan. 2, 1917, in Anselmo, Neb.
Straight served in the Army from June 1941 to June 1949. He later worked at the Army Depot in Igloo, S.D., until his retirement.
He married Pauline J. Illiff on May 3, 1952, in Hot Springs, S.D. Mrs. Straight preceded him in death in February 1985.
Survivors include two granddaughters, JoAnn Nickols of Ordway, Colo., and Karen Phillips of Plattesville, Colo.; two brothers, Floyd Straight of Denver, and Harold Straight of Broken Bow, Neb., plus numerous other relatives and friends.
Peet Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
