Inez C. Sturtevant

Funeral services for Inez Sturtevant, 77, were at 2 p.m. Monday, June 8 at the United Congregational Church in Lusk with Rev. Nick Natelli officiating. Burial is in the Lusk Cemetery.

Mrs. Sturtevant died Wednesday, June 3 in the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper. She was born Aug. 2, 1909 in Brocket, ND, the daughter of Roger and Cora Cunningham. She attended elementary schools in North Dakota and graduated from high school at Devil's Lake, ND. She attended Minot State College in Minot, SD., the special education department of the Mt. Airy School for the Deaf in Mt. Airy, PA., and the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburg, PA. She was an instructor at the Missouri School for the Deaf in Fulton, MO.

She married Robert Sturtevant on June 20, 1932 in Devils Lake, ND. The Sturtevants owned and operated the Coast to Coast Store in Lusk for many years.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, John and James; and a sister, Stella Brightman.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Sturtevant of Lusk; two sisters, May Johns and Vi Bekkedahl; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Memorials to the Niobrara County Nursing Home would be appreciated by the family.
