T. R. Sullivan Dies June 9

Timothy R. Sullivan, 76, died June 9 at the Memorial Hospital from a heart condition. Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 12 at the Peet Chapel at 10:00 o'clock with the Rev. Roger Koen, minister of the First Baptist Church officiating.

Mrs. J. P. Watson was organist. Mrs. Edna DeCastro and Judy Peterson sang "Whispering Hope" and "Beyond the Sunset."

Pallbearers were Venus Kilmer, Roscoe Kilmer, Mike Kilmer, Everett Kilmer, Paul Morgan and Leonard Thompson. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery.

Timothy (Shorty) R. Sullivan was born January 26, 1887 on a farm near Delhi, Ia. He was one of 11 children. When 21 he went to Nebraska where he met Sarah Ann Kilmer of Arnold. They were married April 10, 1912.

In 1922 he moved his family to Tomahawk, Alberta, Canada where they lived until 1946. He came to Niobrara County where he operated a dairy farm until ill health caused him to move to Lusk in 1960.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah, two daughters, Lois Dryer of Elko, Nev. and Marian Markle of Casper; two sons, Charles T. of Lusk and Andrew J. of Tomahawk Alberta, Canada; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, one brother, James J. of Bridger, Mont.; one sister, Margaret of Dennison, Ia.; and many nieces and nephews.
