Concluding Services Held for the Late Mrs. Emma Swan this Thursday Afternoon; Interment Lusk Cemetery

Services were held for the late Mrs. Emma Swan this (Thursday) afternoon at three o'clock, from the chapel of the Peet Funeral Home, with Rev. F. C. Doctor, pastor of St. Paul's Evangelical Church, officiating.

The services were enriched with the singing of "Sweet Hour of Prayer" and "Nearer My God to Thee" by Mrs. Ab DeCastro, and Mrs. Emerson Bonner, accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Judson P. Watson.

Interment was made in the Lusk cemetery with George Hillen, Jalmer Thon, Don Taylor, Ab DeCastro, Otto Klemke and Jennings Ruffing bearing the remains to their final resting place.

Emma Minnie Pankow Swan, daughter of Ernest and Wilhelmia Luckner was born December 26, 1880 at Sigel, Illinois and departed this life Sunday, July 22nd, 1956 at the Spencer Hospital in Lusk, Wyoming, at the age of 75 years, 6 months, and 26 days.

As a young girl she went to Chicago where she married George Pankow in 1899. He passed away in 1909, and the following year, in 1910 she was united in marriage to Elwin A. Swan. The family moved to Lusk in 1917, where the deceased had since resided until the time of her demise.

Survivors include two daughters, Miss Mabel Pankow of Lusk, and Mrs. Eloise Renz of Hanson, Idaho, and five grandchildren. Eight children and one sister died previously. One daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Crow passed away January 16, 1956.

Mrs. Emma Swan Dies Here Sunday

Mrs. Emma Pankow Swan, 75, died Sunday evening at the Spencer Hospital from complications of old age. Funeral services are to be held this Thursday at 3:00 p.m. from the Peet chapel with burial in the Lusk Cemetery. Rev. F C. Doctor, pastor of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, will officiate.

Mrs. A. F. DeCastro and Mrs. Emerson Bonner will sing "Nearer My God to Thee" and "Sweeet Hour of Prayer". Mrs. J. P. Watson will be organist. Casket bearers will be George Hillen, Jalmer Thon, Don Taylor, A. B. DeCastro, Otto Klemke and Jennings Ruffing.
