Charlie F. Yarbrough

Graveside services for Charlie F. Yarbrough, age 84, will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday (today) at the Lusk Cemetery with Rev. Mark Lohr officiating.

Mr. Yarbrough died Saturday, August 5, 1989, at the Niobrara County Memorial Hospital in Lusk. He was born February 15, 1905, in Clinton, South Carolina, the son of William and Addie Yarbrough. The family moved to Willington, North Carolina when Charlie was 2 years old and he was raised there and attended Willington schools. He joined the Army at the age of 17 and was discharged with the rank of Captain after 23 years of service. In 1945 he began working for the State of Washington Employment Security Division and retired from there in 1967. He then moved to Lusk in 1968.

He married Beulah Kassahn on December 2, 1929, in Chadron, Nebraska.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.

Survivors include: his wife Beulah of Lusk; one sister, Alice Peraino; two brothers, Vestal and Elliot; and several nieces and nephews.

For those who wish, memorials to the Niobrara Senior Center will be appreciated by the family.
