Harold I. Moss

MOSS, Harold I. (Age 86) - passed away June 24, 2007 in Spokane, WA. Born September 17, 1920 in Hot Springs, SD. He graduated from Manville High School in 1937. A 60 year resident of Spokane, he moved to Spokane from Milton Freewater, OR. He married Lucille Biggerstaff on November 22, 1943 in Portland, OR. He served in the Pacific Theatre during World War II from 1941 to 1946; earning a Bronze Star and Purple Heart.

He is survived by his sons, Jim Moss, Spokane and Craig Moss, Coeur D' Alene, ID; daughter, Christine Swanson, Spokane; brother, Earl Moss, Stevansville, MT; sister, Bonnie Neal, Prescott, WA; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Moss and granddaughter, Brandy Moss.

Mr. Moss was a contractor, he was a member of the Mason's, Shriner's, York Rite, Scottish Rite and was an avid square dancer.

Visitation will be held Thursday, June 28, 2007 from 3 - 8 p.m. at Thornhill Valley Chapel, 1400 S. Pines Rd., Spokane Valley, WA. Funeral services will be held June 29, 2007 at 10 a.m. at Thornhill Valley Chapel. Pastor Ray Ruef officiating. Interment Pines Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Shriner's Children Hospital, 911 W. 5th Ave., Spokane, WA 99204.
