Services Held for Frank Volentine

The last rites for Frank Truman Volentine, who died June 7 at the Lusk Hospital, were held in the Peet Chapel on Sunday afternoon, June 11, 1950. The burial was made in the family plot at Torrington, Wyo.

Rev. Clyde E. Hampton officiated at the service. The song selections were: "The Old Rugged Cross," "Good Night and Good Morning" and "Beautiful Isle." The songs were sung by Miss Bessie Lumsden and Mrs. Maude Bonner. Mr. Rex Yocum was the organist for the service.

The casket bearers were Joe Kuhn, Fred Kettler, George Siebken, Carl Brown, Joe Vondra and Raymond Morris.

Frank Truman Volentine was born September 13, 1882, in Toledo, Illinois. As a small boy he moved with his parents to Ohio. Later he moved to Oakdale, Neb., where he became an employee of the railroad.

It was in 1912 he moved to Wyoming and settled near Jay Em. On September 16, 1915, he was united in marriage to Miss Myrtle Duncan of Torrington.

The last five years he has lived in the Manville community. He worked for Frank Gorman two years, and one year for the Wyoming Well Company. Frank Truman Volentine was retired at the time of his death.

He was preceded in death by his wife in 1919, also by two sisters and three brothers.

Mr. Volentine is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Leo Murphy of Manville and Mrs. Charles Canfield of Lusk. Also three brothers have survived Mr. Volentine. They are: Sherman of Elgin, Neb.; Dwight of Cheyenne, Wyo., and Edward of Torrington. Mr. Volentine is also survived by twelve grandchildren, and many relatives and friends.

Mr. Volentine passed away on June 7, 1950, after spending six days in the Lusk Hospital.
