Mrs. H. E. Brown of Van Tassell is Called Tuesday

Mrs. H. E Brown of Van Tassell died suddenly at the home of her son Edward Brown, Tuesday night.

Lusk friends have only meager details as to the cause of her death, but the funeral services will be held in Van Tassell on Friday unless it is found necessary to change the time on account of the arrival of distant relatives.

FUNERAL OF MRS. MARY BROWN IS HELD ON FRIDAY

Well Known Van Tassell Resident is Laid in Final Rest

Services Conducted by Rev. H.H. Koontz of Lusk Community Church; Many Attend

Residents of Van Tassell were saddened by the death of one of their most beloved citizens, Mrs. Mary Brown, who passed away at the home of her son, Edward Brown near that place Tuesday night of last week.

Funeral services were held in Van Tassell on New Year's Day, Rev. H.H. Koontz of Lusk Community church officiating, the esteem and love which she was held was evidenced by the immense crowd that filled the church to overflowing.

She was laid to rest in the Van Tassell cemetery beside her husband who preceded her in death, three years ago.

Mary Beaumont Brown was born February 12, 1858, at Auburn, New York and died December 29, 1925. She came with her parents from New York to Jonesville, Mich., in 1864. From there they later came to Goshen, Ind., where she married Harvey Edward Brown, November 24, 1881.

In 1907 the family moved to Hemingford, Nebr., coming to Van Tassell in 1910, where she resided until the day of her death. the union was blessed with five children, Ruth, who died in 1901, Rachael, Augusta, Norton Elliot, Harvey Edward Jr. , and Harrison Beaumont whom survive her.

She was a member of the Protestant Episcopal church all her live.
