Vivian Lorraine Baribeau

Vivian Lorraine Baribeau joined her daughter Susan in heaven on July 29, 2008. A Rosary and Wake Service was held Aug. 1 at St. Anthony Chapel, Villa de San Antonio, with Father Jim Rutowski presiding.

Vivian was born Nov. 13, 1921, in Enderlin, ND, to Alfred and Amanda Christianson. She attended business school in Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN and worked for Honeywell as a bookkeeper in Minneapolis/St. Paul for a short time.

Vivian and Robert F. Baribeau were married on Sept. 2, 1942, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Enderlin, ND. They celebrated 65 years of marriage in 2007.

Bob and Micke (Vivian's nickname) lived in San Antonio during the war while Bob was a flight instructor for the Army Air Force. They also lived in Enderlin, ND, Ranchester, WY and Lusk, WY, where they raised seven children and retired to San Antonio in their later years.

Micke worked as a dispatcher for the Wyoming HIghway Department and as a bookkeeper for Rancher's Feed Service in Lusk.

Her joy in life was her family for whom she was a strong guiding influence. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Ralph and Morris, her parents and her daughter Susan. Survivors include her husband Bob, sons Dr. Mike Baribeau and wife Xochital, Dr. Alan Baribeau and wife Paulette, Col. Steve Baribeau (ret.) and wife Margy, Thom Baribeau and wife Carolyn, and daughters Christine Thompson and Michele Rose and husband Jim. Micke had 20 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Fisher Center for Alzheimer's Research www.alzinfo.org or to St. Anthony's Chapel, Villa de San Antonio.
