Brother of Earl Peet Dies at Council Bluffs

Dale W. Peet, 71, brother of George Earl Peet of Lusk, died Saturday at Council Bluffs, Ia. Earl left Saturday morning for Council Bluffs to attend the funeral services which were held Tuesday. Masonic rites were performed at the grave and burial was in Cedar Lawn Cemetery at Council Bluffs.

Dale Peet was born at Viola, Ia. Mar. 22, 1881. The family moved to Keyapaha County when he was 10 and he lived there until 1930. He married Margaret Fitzgerald of Chadron, Neb. in 1911.

He is survived by his wife and three daughters: Mrs. Margaret Templin, Cheyenne; Mrs. Marian Davis, Kansas City; Mrs. Katherine Neilson, Council Bluffs; and a son, Bert, Council Bluffs.

Geo. Earl Peet Called to Council Bluffs, IA., by Death of Brother

George Earl Peet returned home on Wednesday of last week from Council Bluffs, Iowa, where he had been called by the death of a brother, Dale W. Peet, who had passed away at the family home on Saturday, June 14th. The deceased had been in poor health for the past two years.

Funeral services were held June 17th, in Council Bluffs with Rev. Bisby of that city officiating. The Masonic lodge of Council Bluffs also performed their rites. He was laid at rest in Cedar Lawn cemetery in Council Bluffs.

Dale W. Peet was born at Viola, Iowa on March 22, 1881, and departed from this life on Saturday, June 14th, 1952 at the age of 71 years, two months and 23 days.

When he was a young boy, ten years of age, he moved with his parents to Keyapaha County, Iowa, where he lived until 1930. He was united in marriage to Margaret Fitzgerald in 1911.

He is survived by his widow, three daughters, Mrs. Margaret Templin of Cheyenne, Wyo.; Mrs. Marian Davis of Kansas City, Kans.; and Mrs. Katherine Neilson of Council Bluffs, Iowa., and one son, Bert Peet of the family home at Council Bluffs.

Other survivors include two brothers, George Earl Peet of Lusk, Wyo., and Sam Peet of Orange Cove, Calif., and one sister, Mrs. George Purdy of Sioux Falls, So. Dak.

Enroute home, Mr. Peet stopped in Sioux Falls, So. Dak., and was accompanied to Lusk by his sister, Mrs. George Purdy, who is now visiting here.
