Merle Mason Dies At Vet Hospital

Death came to Merle H. Mason, 59, of Lusk at the Veteran's Hospital in Cheyenne early Friday morning, Mar. 20, after a long illness.

Mr. Mason is a brother-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. Walter P. Farrell of Lusk, Mrs. Mason and Mrs. Farrell being sisters.

The Masons moved to Lusk about three years ago, residing in the Royal Apartments. Mr. Mason was taken seriously ill last September, and since that time has been a patient at the Veteran's Hospital.

Upon receiving word of Mr. Mason's death, Mrs. W. P. Farrell and son Gerald Farrell drove to Cheyenne to be with Mrs. Mason and accompanied her to Denver from which point the body was shipped to their old home at Lincoln, Nebr., for services and burial.

Survivors beside his wife are two daughters, one residing in Denver and the other in Lincoln, a brother in Iowa and a sister in California.
