Franklin Baughman Dies Here Saturday

Franklin Bone Baughman, 69, resident of this community for 12 years died Saturday afternoon at 2:30 at the Spencer Hospital.

Mr. Baughman was born Oct. 29, 1884 in Frankfort, Indiana, the son of David and Eliza Ann Baughman. Prior to coming to Wyoming he worked as a machinist with an oil company in Oklahoma.

Closest living relative is his sister, Mrs. Eva Provost of Lusk.

Funeral services were conducted from the Peet Chapel Monday afternoon at two o'clock, with Rev. O. F. Shroyer, pastor of the Church of God of Prophecy, officiating. Mrs. J. P. Watson was organist and accompanied by Mrs. Emerson Bonner and Mrs. H. J. Templeton as they sang, "The Haven of Rest," and "Softly Now, The Light Of Day."

Bearing the body to its final resting place in the Lusk Cemetery were J. G. McGinnis, Lee Penn, C. E. Marvin, Rulo Roberts, Albert Penn, and Jesse Rice.

Last Rites Held for Franklin Baughman Monday, March 22nd

Last rites were conducted for Franklin B. Baughman at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 22nd, at the chapel of the Peet Mortuary with Rev. O. F. Shroyer, pastor of the Church of God, officiating.

Mesdames H. J. Templeton and Emerson Bonner sang two selections, "The Haven of Rest" and "Softly Now the Light of Day", with Mrs. J. P. Watson accompanying at the organ.

Interment was made in the Lusk cemetery with Albert Penn, J. G. McGinnis, Lee Penn, C. E. Marvin, Rulo Roberts and Jesse Rice acting as casketbearers.

Franklin Bone Baughman was born October 29th, 1884 at Frankfort, Ind., a son of David A. and Eliza Ann (Douglas) Baughman and departed from this life on March 20th, 1954 at Lusk, Wyoming having attained the age of 69 years, four months and 19 days. His early life was spent in Oklahoma, but the past twelve years he had lived in various parts of Wyoming, and the last part of his life he made his home with a sister, Mrs. Eva Provost, and husband of Lusk.

His parents preceded him in death several years ago. He leaves to mourn his passing three sisters, Mrs. Eva Provost, Lusk.; Mrs. Ruby Crittendon of Rapid City, So. Dak., and Mrs. Hazel Allen of Riverside, Calif.; one brother , R. A. Baughman of Portland, Ore., and several nieces and nephews.
