Frank W. Hall, County Native, Dies February 12

Frank Hall, 71, native of the Bodarc community, died February 12 at Lander. Funeral service was held February 15 at the Methodist Church in Harrison, and burial was in the Bodarc Cemetery. He had been in failing health several years.

The Rev. Larry Shrout was in charge of the service. Organ music was furnished by Dorothy Todd, and a quartet composed of Carol Mumby, Pat Skavdahl, Linda Grimm and Louise Serres sang "In the Garden" and "Under His Wings". Pallbearers were Dick Herren, Alphonsus Donahue, Adolph Zurcher, Bob Grimm, George Schaefer and John E. Eberspecher.

Frank William Hall, son of Francis Matthew and Sarah Rickard Hall, was born January 16, 1902, on his father's ranch in the Bodarc community northeast of Harrison. He grew up on the ranch and attended school at Bodarc and Harrison. After working at various places as a young man, he returned to the ranch in 1929 to help manage it.

January 16, 1931, he was married to Ola Hughes, and the couple had two daughters, Mary Ethel and Sarah Frances. In 1934 Ola died, and about a year later Frank and the children left the ranch. He lived several years in Lusk, Wyo., then moved to Lander in 1940 where he has since made his home except for a few years spent in Casper. On June 5, 1945, he married Grace Tipton Howard.

He leaves his wife Grace, one daughter, Mrs. Bill Michael of Riverton, Wyo., two stepsons, Seth Howard of Salt Lake City and Dale Howard of Lander, five grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and one sister, Mrs. Sarah Belle Forbes of Reno, Nev. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, three brothers, and his daughter Sarah Frances.

Among the out-of-town relatives and friends here for the funeral in addition to his wife Grace were Mr. and Mrs. Dale Howard of Lander, Seth Howard of Salt Lake City, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Michael of Riverton, Bob Rymill and daughter Mrs. Ann Pomery of Ft. Laramie, Wyo., and Mrs. Isabelle Tipton of Lusk.
