Tim Haley, 46, Dies Here Sunday

Timothy R. Haley, 46, local Texaco bulk dealer, died Sunday afternoon in the Niobrara Memorial Hospital of complications following a ruptured appendix. He had entered the hospital Wednesday but had been in ill health for some time.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Peet Chapel with the Rev. James Davis officiating. Dr. Richard Collins, soloist, sang "The Lord's Prayer," and a quartet composed of Dr. Collins, Harry Lyon, Mrs. Robert Bramlet and Mrs. Walter Fernau sang "Out of the Ivory Palaces." Mrs. Gerald Bardo was organist. Pallbearers were: Bucky Barnette, Bud Hoblit, Bob Hardman, Otto Vondra, Claude Redding and Ray Olafson. Honorary bearers were: Ralph Hanson, Peach Shaw, Harold Rogers, Henry McGinnis, David Lorenzen, John Lorenzen, John Marsteller, Shorty Millikin, Dale Anderson, Dudley Fields, Sven Johnson and Dale Windom. Graveside services were held by the Elks. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery.

Services for Tim Haley Held Wed.

Funeral services for Timothy R. Haley were held at the Peet Chapel at 2:00 p.m. last Wednesday afternoon with the Rev. James E. Davis officiating.

Timothy Haley, son of Daniel and Sarah Monk Haley, was born in Corning, Ia., November 3, 1914. He attended school at Artesian, S. Dak., and Omaha, Nebr. He married Miss Marcella McQuirk in Omaha, October 16, 1936, and they were the parents of three children. Mr. Haley drove a bus for the Greyhound Bus Company until he was injured in a serious accident. Upon his recovery, the family moved to Lusk in 1952. He was a member of the B. P. O. Elks and has served as chaplain. He was active in the boy's baseball program for several years.

Survivors include his wife; daughter, Mrs. Donald Vondra of Casper; two sons, Michael of Casper and Jimmy at home; two sisters, Mrs. Ed Wilson of Omaha and Mrs. W. W. Wise of Rapid City; two brothers, Francis of Lake Lillian, Minn. and John of Omaha; and three grandchildren.

Out-of-town relatives attending the services were : Mr. and Mrs. Donald Vondra and Mr. and Mrs. Mike Haley, Casper; Mr. and Mrs. John Haley and Gene, Mrs. Ed Wilson, Omaha; Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Wise, Rapid City; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Callaghan, Spirit Lake, Ia.; and Mr. and Mrs. Francis Haley of Lake Lillian, Minn.
