Rev. Frank Blish

Services for the Rev. Frank Blish, 88, of Cheyenne, formerly of Lusk, were held Saturday, Sept. 26, 1992, at 1 p.m. at the First Congregational Church in Cheyenne with Dr. Clyde Kauffman officiating. Interment was in Mountain View Memorial Park.

Blish died Wednesday, Sept. 23, 1992, at DePaul Hospital in Cheyenne. He was born Jan. 21, 1904, in St. Louis, Mo. He lived in Cheyenne intermittently since 1971. Upon his retirement he returned to Cheyenne in March 1987.

Blish was a minister for Congregational Churches and United Church of Christ for more than 60 years. He served churches in New York, Iowa, Washington, Idaho, Utah and Wyoming. In each community he served he was active in civic affairs.

He was a member of AARP in Lusk and Cheyenne; Masonic Lodge; Shrine; Golden K Kiwanis Club; past president of the Chamber of Commerce in Rock Springs; past member of Rotary Club; past member of Lions Club and past member and State Shrine Chaplain for Utah.

He is survived by one daughter, Frances M. Morris of Cheyenne; two brothers, John Blish of Akron, N.Y. and Harold Blish of Clymer, N.Y.; two grandsons, Dr. Eugene F. Morris of Cheyenne and Dwight W. Morris of Phoenix; one granddaughter, Mary M. Milster of Cheyenne; seven great-grandchildren and close friend, Esther Duerksen of Cheyenne.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Madeline I. Blish, who died in April 1986; his parents, Francis and Mary Blish; two brothers, Walter Blish and Kenneth Blish and one sister, Helen Klotzback.

Services were under the direction of Widerspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes.
