William H. Foy

At his request no services are planned for William H. Foy, 73, who died at his home on Jan. 18, 2012. Cremation has taken place. The Colyer Funeral Home assisted the family with the cremation arrangements.

William was born Feb. 10, 1938 in Sunrise, Wyo. the son of Harold and Alice (Hazelwood) Foy. He grew up and received his education in Guernsey, Wyoming graduating high school there in 1956. He attended college for a short time. He worked for the Burlington Northern Railroad as a conductor and switchman and retired from there in March of 2001. He then started ranching west of Guernsey near the Dwyer Junction. He served for many years as a volunteer fireman in Guernsey.

William enjoyed hunting, fishing, ranching, and attending Wyoming Cowboy football and basketball games.

William is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth Foy-Henneman and her husband Eric of Lead, South Dakota and Lynda Foy-Rivard and her husband Andre of Gillette, Wyoming; a sister Carol Foy-Han and her husband Terry of Laramie, Wyoming; grandchildren Kelsey Myrup, Tyler Myrup, William Fish, and Marlee Foy; great grandchild Journey Myrup; nieces Jeanne Han, Karen Han; and nephew James Foy. He was preceded in death by his parents; his son Davy John Foy; his daughter Cristy Eve Foy; and a brother Joe Foy.
