Andrew Quinn Cisneros

Mass of Christian Burial for Andrew Q. Cisneros, 53, of Lusk, was held May 12, 3003, at St. Leo's Catholic Church, with Father Patrick Shea officiating. Cremation has taken place.

Andrew Cisneros died May 8, 2003, at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff.

Andy was born Dec. 4, 1949, in Chadron Neb., to John and Mary (Martin) Cisneros. He grew up in the Alliance and Chadron area, and graduated from Chadron High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Army on June 9, 1970, and served his country in Germany. He was honorably discharged on Jan. 26, 1972. He continued his military career with the National Guard until he retired.

Andy married Carol Craig, and to this union eight children were born. He worked for the Chicago Northwestern Railroad until 1995, then for the Union Pacific Railroad. Andy enjoyed outdoor adventures, fishing, hunting and trapping; spending time with his family and following their school activities. His family life was a great adventure filled with lots of memories and love.

He was a member of St. Leo's Catholic Church, the Brotherhood of Maintenance Way Employees, and the BPOE Elk's Lodge.

Andy is survived by his eight children: Thomas, Carrie, Laura, Charles, Jessica, John, Koni and Cody; his grandchildren; his parents; brothers Anthony and Alan of Chadron; and sisters, Irene Millsap of Ogallala, Neb., Anna Mozes and Libby Ensign of Alliance, Neb., Adela Maher of Hot Springs, S. D., Mary Beth Lingelbach of Papillion, and Gloria Graves of Chadron.

He was preceded in death by his wife Carol.

A memorial has been established in care of St. Leo's Catholic Church.
