MRS. M.H. NEIL PASSES AWAY AT HE OLD HOME IN OHIO

Wife of Local Attorney Succumbs After Long Illness

Attorney M.H. Neil of Lusk returned home Wednesday morning from Covington, Ohio, where he was called by the death of his wife.

Mrs. Neil had been in ill health for several years and had recently been confined to the hospital in Columbus, Ohio, but had appeared so much better that she was going to be removed to her home when stricken with pneumonia and died very suddenly the day she was to have left the Hospital.

Mrs. Neil formerly spent part of her time in Lusk and made many friends here who deeply regret her death.

The following extracts are take from the Covington Tribune-Gazette:

"The death of Mrs. Ida Templeton Neil, wife of M.H. Neil of Lusk, Wyo., occurred at the Radium Hospital, Columbus, Thursday, March 31, death coming to her relief after a period of failing health for several years.
"She had made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Harmon Maier, of late years as she found the Wyoming climate did not agree with her.

"Mrs. Ida Neil was the daughter of Jacob and Catherine Shellanberger, and entered this life August 26, 1861, and passed away March 31, 1932.

"She lived the greater part of her life in Covington, graduating from the public school with the class of '79, after which she became a student in Juanita College, Pennsylvania.

"Specializing in music and art, she later took a course in art in Philadelphia and completed her musical education in voice and piano in the College of Music at Cincinnati.

"In November, 1883, she was married to Dr. Wm. Templeton, and to this union two children were born, Robert, now living in Rock Springs, Wyo., and Margie, now Mrs. Harmon Maier, of Columbus, Ohio.

"Dr. Templeton died in 1899 and in 1901 she was married to M.H. Neil and they later moved to Wyoming to reside. Mrs. Neil's health began to decline and she was forced to seek a milder climate during her last years."
