FRANCIS JOSEPH FAHY, WELL KNOWN RANCHER, PASSES AWAY

Stroke of Paralysis is Fatal to Old-Time Jireh Resident; Funeral Held From Catholic Church Thursday Morning

Francis Joseph Fahy, well-known Niobrara county rancher, succumbed Monday night about 11 o'clock, at his home at Jireh, at the age of 67 years, from the effects of a stroke which he suffered three years ago, and from which he never folly recovered.

He was stricken about 11 o'clock Monday night and passed away 30 minutes later.

For the past 25 years he has lived on a ranch 8 miles south of Jireh and for many years served on the Jireh school board. Besides a wide circle of friends, he leaves to mourn his passing his wife, three sons and three daughters.

Funeral services were held from St. Leo's Catholic church, thursday morning at 10 o'clock, with the Rev, Father Fidelis officiating. Funeral arrangements were in charge of the Peet Mortuary.

Pallbearers were Joe Kuhn, Frank A. Barrett, Geo. H. Grant, Grant Outhouse, Chas. Gaukel and C.H.Robinson. Music was furnished by the octette of the Catholic Church, made up of Mrs. John Cordell, Mrs. Frank Barrett, the Misses Pauline and Elizabeth Bruch, Bertha Guibault and Mrs. Joe Kuhn, organist.

Interment was made in the Lusk cemetery.
