Mrs. Chas. Hanson Passes Away Here

Mrs. Charles Hanson, for 42 years a resident of the Cheyenne river Community, died at the Lusk Hospital on Wednesday, April 4.

Mrs. Hanson was brought to Lusk two weeks ago and entered the hospital, but failed to respond to medical care and death came early Wednesday morning.

Mr. and Mrs. Hanson are well known to all the old -timers of this community, as they have always been prominent in community activities in the northern part of the county.

Funeral services will be held from the Peet chapel on Friday afternoon at 2:00, with Rev. Ezra Duncan in charge. Interment will be in the Lusk cemetery.

Services Held For Mrs. Chas. Hanson

Last rites for Mrs. Charles Hanson of the Spencer community were held from the Peet Chapel on Friday afternoon at 2:00.

Rev. Ezra Duncan of the Lusk Baptist Church officiated and the songs, "In the Garden" and "The Old Rugged Cross" were sung by a quartet composed of the Misses Minette and Justine Watson, Betty Stallman and Rosemary Voorhees, accompanied by Mrs. J.P. Watson.

The casket bearers were Ted Rumney, Christ Ruffing, Tom Rennard, C.C. Cooksey, Roy Sutherland and Tom Wilson.

Interment was made in the Lusk cemetery.

Mrs. Hanson passed away at the Lusk Hospital on Wednesday, April 4, after being in declining health for some time.

Frances A. Mills was born May 17, 1869, at Tecumseh, Neb., the daughter of William and Aseeneth Mills. She departed this life April 4, 1945, at Lusk, Wyo., having reached the age of 75 years, 10 months and 19 days.

She spent the early years of her life at Tecumseh and attended school at that place.

August 24, 1884, she was married to William Frazier, and six children were born to this union, two dying in infancy.

The family lived in Nebraska until 1890, when they moved to New York State, then after a time returned as far west as North Dakota, where they resided only a short time, and then traveled by covered wagon to the West coast.

In 1900 Mrs. Frazier came to Wyoming, going to Cheyenne, where her invalid mother resided. On February 5, 1904, she was married to Charles M. Hanson, at Newcastle, Wyo. One son was born to them and the remaining years of her life were spent on a ranch on the Cheyenne river, west of Spencer, Wyo.

She leaves to mourn her passing, besides her husband, three sons, Fred Frazier of Hot Springs, So. Dak.; William Frazier of Spokane, Wash., and Charles N. Hanson of Cheyenne, Wyo. Also a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
