9-Yr.-Old Paulsen Son Drowns
Jerry Paulsen, nine-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Paulsen of Lusk, was drowned in a pond near Edgemont yesterday. He had crawled out onto a tree branch and was attempting to catch a duckling on the pond when the branch broke dropping him into the water.
Mr. Paulsen dove into the pond but was unable to locate the child. It was necessary to bring in divers to recover the body. The family had gone to Edgemont for Memorial Day.
Funeral services will be held at Edgemont at 2:00 p.m. Friday. Burial will also be in Edgemont.
