Clyde E. Zimmerman

Services were held January 22, 1988 for Clyde E. Zimmerman, 96, of Sheridan, WY. Burial was in the Municipal Cemetery. Rev. Michael Thiel officiated.

Mr. Zimmerman was born May 8, 1891 (December 8, 1892 according to Social Security records) in Comton, NE the son of George E. and Hattie C. Hatfield Zimmerman. He attended school in Comton.

Mr. Zimmerman married Ada Galbreath on May 1, 1915 in Lusk, WY. His wife preceded him in death in 1965.

He ranched from 1914 to 1944 in the Bright and Lance Creek areas. In 1944 he moved to the Big Goose area near Sheridan where he operated a dairy for 15 years. Mr. Zimmerman was very involved in the Soil Conservation Service, with more than 25 years with the organization.

Mr. Zimmerman was preceded in death by three infant children; two brothers, Fredrick and Don; one sister, Nellie Weaver; and a lifetime friend and housekeeper Gladys Glasby.

He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Champion Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
