Sharla Sue Poage

Sharla Sue Poage, 59, of Arkansas City, Kansas, died Thursday April 30, 2015 at her residence. Funeral services are scheduled for 4:00 p.m. Thursday May 7, 2015 at the Calvary Chapel Church. Pastor Mark Fry will officiate.

In Lusk, WY on May 14 there will be a luncheon at noon at the First Baptist Church, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 P.M., coffee, then interment at Jireh Cemetery, Jireh, WY.

Sharla was born November 2, 1955, in Elkhart, Kansas, to Ralph Donald "Don" Bellomy and Dora C. (Barker) Bellomy. She was reared and educated in Elkhart before moving with her family to Rawlins, Wyoming at age 14. She graduated from Rawlins High School and then attend the University of Wyoming. She married David Poage on November 13, 1976, in Laramie, Wyoming. The couple moved to Arkansas City in the early 90's. Sharla was a homemaker, farm wife and devoted mother. She was a faithful member of Calvary Chapel.

Survivors include two daughters Rebecca and Rachel both of the home; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband David in 2012, three brothers, a nephew Lantz Bellomy and a great nephew Bradon Peacock.

Memorials have been established with the Jesus Film Project or Faith Comes By Hearing Ministry. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
