Temple Murphy, Edgerton, Dies

Temple Corl Murphy, 59, Edgerton, Wyo., died March 5, at the home of his brother, Leo Murphy of Edgerton. Funeral services were held at the Peet Mortuary in Lusk March 8, with the Rev. Robert Boutwell officiating. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery.

Mrs. J.P. Watson, organist, accompanied Mrs. G. L. Pfeifer and Mrs. Reg Bafford as they sang "Beyond the Sunset" and "In the Garden."

Casket bearers were Martin Glandt, Ed Lang, Wes Shoults, James Harris, Willard Fry and Edward Allen.

He was born June 14, 1911, to Ira and Orilla Murphy at Madison, Neb. When a small boy the family moved to a homestead three miles west of Burge, Wyo. He attended schools in Burge, Torrington and David City, Neb.

He worked on various farms and ranches in California and Washington, and for the last three years was employed by Dr. H. M. Shidler in his oil operation as a roustabout.

He was married to Irene Bancroft at Kearney, Neb. He was a member of the Christian Church at David City.

His mother and one sister died previously.

Survivors include his father, Ira, and step-mother, Florence G. Murphy of Crawford, Neb.; one brother, Leo of Edgerton; two sisters, Mrs. Fern Smith of Gearney, Neb., and Mrs. Lola Mac Schaffert of Torrington; a cousin, Mrs. Ed Lang of Lusk and numerous relatives.
