Memorial services for RONALD R. PRICE, 78, will be held at 2pm Monday, May 16, 2016 at the Community Presbyterian Church in Lingle, Wyoming with Reverend Vickie Kintzel officiating. Burial of the ashes will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery. Ron died May 10, 2016 at Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, Wyoming and cremation has taken place.

Ron was born September 23, 1937 in Worland, Wyoming. He grew up in Lingle, Wyoming on his family's farm, where his grandparents had homesteaded. After graduating from Lingle High School in 1956, he joined the US Air Force. In 1958 he married Jane Anderson of Henry, Nebraska and they would go on to have three children. Upon his discharge, he and Jane returned to Henry where he worked for International Harvester. He continued his career in the Wyoming Highway Patrol and was stationed in Jackson Hole, Wyoming where he was assigned to Governor Hansen's and Governor Hathaway's details. In 1969 he and his family returned home to the farm following the death of his father. He was then elected Goshen County Sheriff. He served from 1971 to 1975. Over the course of his varied career he would continue to work on the family farm and undertake several business endeavors, such as working in real estate, and operating the Wagon Wheel Western Store in Lingle. In retirement he and Jane traveled the southwestern states and later owned and operated a drive-in restaurant in Lusk, Wyoming where they lived until his death.

Ron and Jane enjoyed a long and adventurous life together. He was a dutiful husband, father, lawman and entrepreneur. He spent his life seeking to improve his family's circumstances. He relished telling a good joke and having a whiskey with friends.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents Violet and Russell Price; and his brother Gary Price. He is survived by his wife, Jane Price of Lusk, Wyoming; his son Roger (Katrina) Price of Wheatland, Wyoming; his daughters Stacy (Harvey) Reel of Fisk, Missouri and Bonnie (Mark) Morin of Laconia, New Hampshire; eight grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
