Funeral services for Leona Ruth "Tuffy" Cole, age 48, were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, Feb. 16, 1998 at the Bader Funeral Home in Lusk. Rev. Mark Lohr officiated. Burial followed in the Lusk Cemetery.
Mrs. Cole died Friday, Feb. 13, 1998 at her home in Lusk following a courageous four year battle with breast cancer. She was born Jan. 15, 1950 in Newcastle, Wyo., the fourth child of Lee and Arlene King. She grew up and was educated in Newcastle.
Tuffy married John V. Cole on Oct 14, 1967, in Osage, Wyo.
Over the years they made their home in Lusk, Newcastle, Osage and Casper. She loved needlework, reading and her family.
She was preceded in death by her father and brother, Eldon King.
Survivors include: her husband John of Lusk; one daughter, Cathy Lewis of Casper, one son, John Robert Cole of Ft. Carson, Colo.; two granddaughters, Sharayah Lewis and Hannah Cureton of Casper; her mother, Arlene King of Newcastle; and four sisters, Della Noldner, Jalene Huckins and Teresa King all of Newcastle and Nancy Arp of Brookings, Ore.
