Mrs. Cornell, 77, Dies Sunday

Mrs. Nellie Cornell, 77, of Lusk, died Sunday at the Niobrara County Hospital after an extended illness. Funeral services were held this Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. from the Peet Mortuary in Lusk. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery.

The Rev. Harold Brink of the Open Bible Church officiated. Mrs. J. P. Watson furnished organ music and accompanied Mrs. Dean Glandt and Mrs. Richard Korns as they sang "In the Garden" and "The Old Rugged Cross."

Casket bearers were Ray Taylor, Levern James, Walt Zerbst, Everett Kilmer, Floyd Immesoete and Bud Payne.

She was born May 26, 1890 at Long Pine, Nebr., to Mr. and Mrs. Alonzo Barker.

On March 28, 1919, she married Harry E. Cornell. They moved that same year to Lusk, settling on a ranch northeast of Lusk. This was Mrs. Cornell's home until 1964 when she moved to Lusk following the death of her husband.

She was a member of the Open Bible Church of Lusk since 1948.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Leroy (Faye) Weeden, Coalgate, Okla.; one son, Harry A. Arlos Cornell, Fort Collins, Colo.; one brother, E. Dale Barker, Denver, Colo.; 10 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, seven nieces and nephews.
