Mrs. Alice Cornet Found Dead Tues.

Mrs. Alice Cornet, 82, was found dead at her home about two miles east of Lusk Tuesday by County Attorney James E. Barrett and Coroner George Earl Peet. They believed she died Monday.

Mrs. Ike Burnham drove out to her home about 11:00 a.m. with some groceries Mrs. Cornet had ordered delivered the previous Saturday. When she was unable to arouse anyone she drove back to Lusk and alerted Dr. Walter E. Reckling, who in turn called Mr. Peet.

Attorney Barrett and Mr. Peet gained entrance to the house by using a crowbar on the back door. Mrs. Cornet was found near her bed.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. from the Peet Chapel.

Last Rites Held For Alice Cornet

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon for Mrs. Alice Cornet, 82, from Peet Chapel with Rev. Otha B. Holcomb officiating. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery.

Mrs. Holcomb and Mrs. Carl Peterson sang "In the Sweet Bye and Bye" and "The Old Rugged Cross:. Mrs. A. F. DeCastro was organist.

Pall bearers were Pete Germann, A. F. DeCastro, Robert Massie, Andrew Christian, Joe O'Brien and Albert Penn.

Mrs. Cornet was born in LaBouverie, Belgium February 7, 1875 the daughter of Louise and Victor Leonard. In 1904 she met and married Arthur Cornet while he was visiting there and returned with him to the United States.

They homesteaded northeast of Lusk on what was then a great wilderness. They were the parents of six children. They later moved one and a half miles east of Lusk where she has since made her home.

Survivors include one son, Clifford of Casper; two daughters, Mrs. Nellie Jernberg, Evansville, and Lucie Jentsch, Sunnyvale, Calif. Her husband and three sons previously died.
