George Deetjen Dies in Canda

George Aubrey Deetjen, 54, of Rocky Mountain House, Alberta, Canada, died January 13 at University Hospital in Edmonton, Canada. Funeral service was held January 17 from Holy Trinity Anglican Church of Rocky Mountain House.

Mr. Deetjen was born February 17, 1918, in Lusk and grew up here. He was married October 13, 1938, to Margaret Coplen of Hemingford, Neb. and lived in various places in Wyoming and Nebraska until 1949 when he immigrated to Canada with his family.

He lived in a number of towns in Alberta until moving to Rocky Mountain House for the second time in 1960 where he has since resided.

Mr. Deetjen was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion No. 8 and was an avid golfer.

He is survived by his wife of Rocky Mountain House, two sons, Donald of Port Orchard, Wash., and Ronald of Red Deer, Canada, two daughters, Mrs. R. L. Ross of Rocky Mountain House and Mrs. Dennis Lang of Pincher Creek, Canada, three sisters, Mrs. Lillian Holcomb of Salem, Ore., Mrs. Leona Dotson of Gillette, and Mrs. Dorothy Kleiber of Guernsey.

His parents and three brothers died previously.
