Summer plans are revving up at the library. The Friends of the Library Annual Ice Cream Social and Book Sale will be held on Saturday, June 24. A couple of fundraisers for the Foundation's Endowment Fund are planned for July, a Rummage Sale & No-Limit Texas Hold-Em tournament. For the children, Summer Reading is slated to begin Wednesday, June 7th and will continue through mid-July. We have a Magician scheduled for July 22 at 10:30 a.m. and Storyhour continues throughout the summer as does Movie Night. Now that the library has a public performance license for a variety of films we may show films during the day in the summer if there is enough interest, please let us know if you are interested.

If you didn't get a survey in the mail, please call or stop by the library - your input is very important as the board plans for the future of library service.

New books in the adult library include "The Templar Legacy" by Steve Berry, "The Brief History of the Dead" by Kevin Brockmeier, "Amethyst" by Lauraine Snelling, "The Witness" by Dee Henderson, "The White Wolf's Son" by Michael Moorcock, "Last Dance: Behind the Scenes at the Final Four" by John Feinstein, "For Women Only" by Shaunti Feldhahn, "The Skin Type Solution" by Leslie Baumann and "What If you Can Change the World" by Linda Iribarran.

Our youngest readers will be sure to like "Can I Bring My Pterodactyl to School, Mrs. Johnson?" by Lois G. Grambling, "The Cloud Book" by Tomie de Paola and "The Sun, the Wind, and the Rain" by Lisa Westberg Peters.
