You have access to many online databases through your library. Hein Online is an online resource that covers four centuries of legal research which includes history, law, political science, business, public policy, government and criminal justice. Due to licensing restrictions this database is only available in the library. If you are in need of legal information be sure to check this out. Available for you anywhere there is an internet connection (with your library card number and PIN) is the Opposing Viewpoints Resource Center. This is a one-stop source for information on today’s hottest social issues and features viewpoint articles, topic overviews, full-text magazine, academic journal and newspaper articles. A new fiction book for adults is “Last Call” by James Grippando. Having proved the innocence of a friend (who had been falsely accused of murder) criminal defense attorney, Jack Swyteck is once again called upon to help this friend. The twist is the identity of his mother’s killer in exchange for helping an escaped convict – a page-turner for sure!

Other new fiction books include “Plum Lucky” by Janet Evanovich, “Gas City” by Loren D. Estleman, “The Last Cowgirl” by Jana Richman, “The Timer Game” by Susan Arnout Smith and “The Secret Between Us” by Barbara Delinsky.

New adult non-fiction books are “Resumes that Knock ’em Dead” by Martin Yate, “Gluten-Free, Wheat-Free, & Dairy-Free Recipes: More than 100 Mouth-Watering Recipes for the Whole Family” by Grace Cheetham and “The Kazdin Method for Parenting the Defiant Child with No Pills, No Therapy, No Contests of Wills” by Alan E. Kazdin, Ph. D.

A new young adult book is “One Whole and Perfect Day”by Judith Clarke.

The Lennea Lewis Slagle Children’s Library has these new junior books “A Picture for Mark” by Eric A. Kimmel, “Elijah of Buxton” by Christopher Paul Curtis and “Hugging the Rock” By Susan Taylor Brown. New picture books are “Knuffle Bunny, Too: a Case of Mistaken Identity” by Mo Willems, “Frightful’s Daughter Meets the Baron Weasel” by Jean Craighead George and “Skippyjon Jones and the Big Bones” by Judy Schachner.

“In Like a Lion” is the theme for Storyhour on Tuesday, March 4 and Thursday, March 6. Storyhour is held every Tuesday and Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. for children ages 3 through kindergarten.
