2nd RIF Next Week
The second of three RIF programs will be held March 14.

It's time for a puppet show, (and a bit of jazz)! The second RIF (Reading is Fundamental) program will be held on Wednesday, March 14 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. "Jenny Giraffe's Mardi Gras Ride" will be presented by local FBLA students and the Friends of the Library. The puppet show is based on the book of the same name by Cecilia Casrill Dartez. Craft fun have children creating Mardi Gras masks and of course, each child will be able to select their very own book to keep - children who were unable to attend the February program will be able to select two books! On-demand video is now available through your library! "MyLibraryDV" is a unique on-demand video service created by Recorded Books in partnership with Wyoming's Libraries. You can access hundreds of hours of DVD-quality programming on topics such as cooking, travel, and health as well as classic movies and more! Best of all, it is included as a part of your library account - you just need your library card number and PIN to access this service. You'll need to install the download manager and then choose your program. Requirements include 1 gigabyte of available hard drive space. Don't hesitate to call if you have problems or for more information. New music additions include: John Mellencamp's Freedom's Road, Chris Daughtry's self-titled album and Harry Connick, Jr's., Oh, my NOLA. Music cd's circulate for two weeks, stop in and check out the selection.
Many new books are available in the Children's Library, including the chapter books, "Race Horse in the Rain" by Ben M. Baglio and "Junie B., First Grader, Jingle Bells, Batman Smells (P.S. So Does May)" by Barbara Parker as well as the picture books, "The Shelf Elf Helps Out" by Jackie Mims Hopkins, "Gabriella's Song" by Candace Fleming, "Bone Button Borscht" by Aubrey
Davis and "The Day Gogo Went to Vote" by Elinor Batezat Sisuluk.
"St. Patrick's Day" is the theme for Storyhour on Tuesday, March 13, 2007. Storyhour is held every Tuesday from 10 to 11 p.m. for children ages 3 through kindergarten.
