Saturday, July 14 be sure to come out to the fairgrounds for the "Buffalo Bill" program at 12:30 p.m. Bill Boycott will present a program suitable for the entire family about the history of the Wild West and Wyoming through songs, stories and traditional Native American sign language. The program is sponsored by the Friends of the Library and in part by a grant from the Wyoming Arts Council, through funding from the Wyoming State Legislature and the National Endowment for the Arts, which believes that a great nation deserves great art.

Also on Saturday the 14th the Library Foundation will be holding a No-Limit Texas Hold-em Tournament at the fairgrounds. Play is limited to the first 50 paid players; stop by the library to register or for more information. You can also contact Tom Dooper, 334-2013 or

A new thriller for adults is "The Navigator" by Clive Cussler. Years ago an ancient Phoenician statute called the Navigator was stolen from a Baghdad museum. Now the NUMA team is on the trail of men who would do any thing to have it. Other new titles are "Once Around the Track" by Sharyn McCrumb, "The Serpent Bride" by Sara Douglass, "Consequences" by Penelope Lively, "The Quest" by Wilbur Smith and "Abandon" by Carla Neggers. Check it out.

New non-fiction books are "Convertible Houses" by Amanda Lam, "The Assault of Reason" by Al Gore and "Quilts of Provence: the Art and Craft of French Quilt Making" by Kathryn Berenson.

Don't forget to check out all of the music compact discs now available at the library. Many different genres are represented and these items check out for 2 weeks and are limited to 5 per patron. Stop in and check them out.

New titles for our young adults are "An Acceptable Time" by Madeleine L'Engle, "The Pilgrims of Rayne" by D. J. MacHale and "Rules" by Cynthia Lord.

New books in the Lennea Lewis Slagle Children's Library include these junior titles "The Case of the Kidnapped Candy" by James Preller, "The Creature in Ogopogo Lake" by Gertrude Chandler Warner and "Zoo Clue" by Carolyn Keene. New picture books are "Annie and Snowball and the Dress-up Birthday" by Cynthia Rylant, "One for Me, One for You" by Sarah Albee and "It's a Hug Day" by Sarah Wilson.

"Horses" is the theme for Storyhour on Tuesday, July 17, 2007 and Thursday, July 19, 2007. Storyhour is now held every Tuesday and Thursday from 10 to 11 p.m. for children ages 3 through kindergarten.
