A dinner and movie series, featuring plots that tie into the book "Wife of Moon" begins on Monday, January 25 at 6 p.m. with the film, "Blow-up." Thomas, a successful fashion photographer inadvertently stumbles upon a murder while scouting for fresh photo subjects in this 1966 film by writer/director Michelangelo Antonioni. Deane Tucker, Professor of Humanities at Chadron State College will facilitate the discussion. This series is funded in part by grants from the Niobrara Recreation District, the WY Arts Council through funding from the WY Legislature and the National Endowment for the Arts, the Niobrara County Library and the Friends of the Library.

A new mystery book is "The Morning Show Murders" by Al Roker. Network T.V. can be murder; just ask Billy Blessing who has a cooking segment on Wake Up America as well as a bistro in Manhattan. When the network's head honcho, Rudy Gallagher, is poisoned an ambitious D.A. decides that Billy is to blame because the fatal coq au vin came from Billy's restaurant.

Other new fiction books include "Shades of Blue" by Karen Kingsbury, "Rhino Ranch" by Larry McMurtry, "At Home in Stone Creek" by Linda Lael Miller, "The Paris Vendetta" by Steve Berry, "Divine Misdemeanors" by Laurell Hamilton and "The Disciple" by Stephen Coonts.

New non-fiction books are "Catastrophe: How Obama, Congress, and the Special Interests are Transforming a Slump into a Crash, Freedom into Socialism, and a Disaster into a Catastrophe---and How to Fight Back" by Dick Morris, "Beyond the Home Stretch: What I've Learned From Saving Race Horses" by Lynn Reardon and "Believe It, Be It: How Being the Biggest Loser Won Me Back My Life" by Ali Vincent.

New books for the young adult are "Warrior Rising" by P.C. Cast and "Fade Out" by Rachel Caine.

The Lennea Lewis Slagle Children's Library has these new titles: "Midnight Lady" by Jenny Oldfield, "Bombad Jedi" by Rob Valois and "The Bag of Bones" by Vivian French. Also available are "Tractor Power" by Catherine Nichols, "A Birthday for Bear" by Bonny Becker and "Flint Saves the Day" by Michael Teitelbaum.

"Hats and Mittens" is the theme for Storyhour on Tuesday, January 26 and Thursday, January 28. This weekly program is held from 10 to 11 a.m. for children ages 3 through kindergarten.
