A new fiction book is “An Absence So Great” by Jane Kirkpatrick. 18-year-old Jesse Ann Gaebeles is trying to make her mark in the field of photography by going to Milwaukee to operate studios for owners who have fallen ill. Soon she finds herself in other Midwest towns pursuing her profession but even a job she loves can’t keep painful memories of a forbidden love from seeping into her heart.

Other new fiction includes “No Where To Run” by C. J. Box, “Without Mercy” by Lisa Jackson, “If the Dead Rise Not” by Phillip Kerr, “Secret of the Dragon” by Margaret Weis, “Deception” by Jonathan Kellerman and “Plain Paradise” by Beth Wiseman. New on the YA shelf are “Voices of the Dragons” by Carrie Vaughn and “Gone” by Michael Grant.
