“Are You A Horse?” that is the question that is posed in the skit to be performed during the Reading is Fundamental (RIF) program slated for Wednesday, March 9 at 6:30 p.m. Children are all invited for an evening of fun with entertainment, activities and free books! RIF is a federal program that is sponsored locally by the Friends of the Library.

Mark your calendar! Wyoming entertainer, Hub Whitt will be at the library performing on Wednesday, March 16 at 6:30 p.m. Hub brings the West alive through stories and song, many original. Sure to be enjoyed by all - this program is part of the Steed Read Festival @ the Library!

A new human interest story is “The Mountain between Us” by Charles Martin. Ashley Knox and Dr. Ben Payne meet at the Salt Lake airport one stormy night. When the last outgoing flight is cancelled, Ben finds a charter plane that can take them to catch a connection; midflight, the pilot has a heart attack and the plane crashes in the High Uintas Wilderness in deep snow. Ben has broken ribs and Ashley suffers a terrible leg fracture. Ben, knowing no one will know where to look for them as no flight plan had been filed, realizes if they are to survive, it is going to be up to him to get them out. Call to reserve this book today.

Other new fiction includes “Naked Cruelty” by Colleen McCullough, “Tick Tock” by James Patterson, “Shadowfever” by Karen Marie Moning, ”The Inner Circle” by Brad Metzler, “Call Me Irresistible” by Susan Elizabeth Phillips and “The Adamantine Palace” by Stephen Deas. “Immortal” series installment, “Night Star” by Alyson Noel is now available.

New non-fiction books are “The Soul of Leadership: Unlocking Your Potential for Greatness” by Deepak Chopra, “Little Princes: One Man’s

Promise to Bring Home the Lost Children of Nepal”
by Conor Grennan and “In the Empire of Ice: Encounter in a Changing Landscape” by Gretel Ehrlich.

The Lennea Lewis Slagle Children's Library has these new chapter books by Jake Maddox: “Board Rebel,” “Face Off,” “The Hunter’s Code” and “On the Line” plus “Forces of Darkness” by Heather Scott. New picture books include “Flowers For Mami Unicorn” by Christine Ricci and these “Look And Find” books: “Mickey Mouse Club House: What’s Different,” “Magical Moments,” and “Enchanted Stables.”
