Be sure to check out the Virtual Library by scrolling down to the middle of our homepage. The Virtual Library allows library card holders to check out digital material for a variety of eReaders and mobile devices. Currently patrons may check out up to three items at a time for up to 14 days. Holds may be placed on material as well. Check it out today!

If you haven’t yet registered your children for the winter session of the library afterschool programs you can still do so. Call the library at 334-3490 or stop by for more information.

One of the newer novels in the fiction section is “Proof of Heaven” by Mary Curran-Hackett. Colm might be young, but he already recognizes the truth – he’s sick and not getting better. With wisdom far beyond his years he has come to terms with his probable fate but Colm does have one special wish; he wants to meet his father who abandoned his mother before he was born.

Other new fiction books include “Secrets of Bella Terra” by Christina Dodd, “The Alloy of Law” by Brandon Sanderson, “The Next Always” by Nora Roberts, “The House of Silk” by Anthony Horowitz, “Learning” by Karen Kingsbury, “Forever Voyage” by Leonard R. Cook and “House of Secrets” by Tracie Peterson. A new title for the young adult is “Destined” by P.C. Cast. Several other new books are also now available in the YA section.

New adult non-fiction books are “Jagger: Rebel, Rock Star, Rambler, Rogue” by Marc Spitz, "The Encyclopedia of Mystics, Saints, & Sages: a Guide to Asking for Protection, Wealth, Happiness, and Everything Else!” by Judith Illes and “The Cupcake Diaries – Recipes and Memories From the Sisters of Georgetown Cupcake” by Katherine Kallinis.

The Lennea Lewis Slagle Children's Library has these new junior books: “Stealing the Prize” by Suzanne Weyn, “Night of the Giant Everything” by R. L. Stine and “Meet Cecile” by Denise Lewis Patrick. Some new easy books are “Dee and the Mammoth” by Gene Gagliano and “Levi’s Lost Calf” by Amanda Radke.
