Thank you everyone who participated in the NCL Foundation's Chocolate Fiesta. Almost $500.00 was raised for the Endowment Fund.
The Friends of the Library reordered their cookbook "Favorite Recipes." Originally published in 2002 the book is full of recipes of many of Niobrara County's finest. The cookbook is $10.00 and proceeds also benefit the Endowment Fund. As you know, meeting the Kresge Challenge was just the first step in the endowment's long-term goal of 1.5 million. Copies are available at the library.
New books in the adult library include "Dial M for Meat Loaf" by Ellen Hart, "Pearl" by Lauraine Snelling, "Alone" by Lisa Gardner, "Every Storm" by Lori Wick, "Blue Dahlia" by Nora Roberts, "Unexpected Blessings" by Barbara Taylor Bradford, "Strength Training for Women" by Joan Pogano, "Equine Massage" by Jean-Pierre Hourdebaight, and "Small-Batch Baking" byDebby Maugans Nakos and "Eat to Live" by Joel Fuhrman.
Our junior readers will enjoy "I Got a "D" in Salami" and "Day of the Iguana" by Henry Winkler.
