Thursday Afternoon Movies will return at 1 p.m. beginning on Thursday, June 6 as well. Watch for some fun adult programming coming this summer!

One of our newer large print novels is “The Promise of Stardust” by Priscille Sibley. Matt was 2 years old the first time he held Elle in his arms, 17 when he first kissed her, and 33 when they wed. The deeply devoted couple had everything - except a baby. When a tragic accident leaves Elle brain-dead, Matt is devastated. Just before he agrees to remove Elle from life support, the doctors discover that she is pregnant. Matt is sure Elle would want the baby to have a chance, but Matt’s mother believes Elle would not want to be kept alive by artificial means no matter what. The result is a battle which grows beyond one family and one single life.

Other new adult fiction books are “Unintended Consequences” by Stuart Woods, “A Week in Winter” by Maeve Binchy, “Widow’s Tears” by Susan Wittig Albert, “Don’t Go” by Lisa Scottoline, “Sleight of Hand” by Phillip Margolin, “Daddy’s Gone A Hunting” By Mary Higgins Clark, “Taking Eve” by Iris Johansen and “The Perfect Ghost” by Linda Barnes. A new title in the young adult section is “The Time Tunnel” by Swami Kriyananda.

Maya Angelou’s “Mom & Me & Mom” is now available along with “Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will To Lead” by Sheryl Sandberg and “Dead Run: the Murder of a Lawman and the Greatest Manhunt of the Modern West” by Dan Schultz.
