The library will be closed on Monday, July 5, 2004 in observance of Independence Day, regular hours resume on Tuesday, July 6.

Thank you all for saving your Decker receipts this past year. We will be able to add many new children's books to our collection as a result of the generosity of Decker's Food Center. Thank you, Kenny and Linda for this great program for our community.

Have you been out to the 3 Sisters Truck Stop lately? If you haven't been out and tried the FastAction Bingo be sure to give it a try and of course enjoy a great meal! Thank you Shirley, Lori & Kim for your continued support of our library foundation's endowment fund.

New books in the adult library include "Hidden Prey" by John Sandford, "Now is the Time to Open Your Heart" by Alice Walker, "The Road to Ruin" by Donald E. Westlake, "The Moon by Night" by Lynn Morris, "Folly and Glory" by Larry McMurtry, "Paid Companion" by Amanda Quick, "Founding Mothers" byCokie Roberts, "Ten Minutes from Normal" by Karen Hughes, and "Better Homes and Gardens Inside Out."

For the young adult there is "Goddess of Yesterda" by Caroline B. Cooney.

Our junior reader's will enjoy "Lily Quench and the Treasure of Mote Ely" by Natalie Jane Prior "The Silver Horn" by Cherith Baldry", "My Dog, Cat" by Marty Crisp and "Rowan of Rin" by Emily Rodda and "Afternoon of the Elves" by Janet Taylor Lisle.

For our younger readers, there is "All You Need for a Snowman" by Alice Schertle, "The Day Nobody Shared" by Nancy Parent, "Clifford's Day with Dad" by Norman Bridwell and What Makes a Hero?" by Irene Trimble.

"Moose Mania" is the theme for Storyhour on Tuesday, July 6, 2004. Storyhour is held each Tuesday throughout the year from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. for children 3 through kindergarten.
