Now Available! The Virtual Library, which includes eBooks, eAudio and streaming movies now has two new rooms or collections available! Two specific collections with materials geared towards Kids and Teens is now easily accessed without having to wade through the adult collection! Check it out today on the library's homepage. The Kids Room also includes narrated books, a great tool for beginning readers. The Virtual Library is a consortium of seven Wyoming county libraries (Niobrara, Natrona, Platte, Lincoln, Sheridan, Sweetwater & Big Horn) and the items are available for library card holders of those counties. Check it out today and do not hesitate to suggest titles or to stop by the Niobrara County Library for help with using this digital library. Everyone is welcome on Monday, October 26 at 6 p.m. when the film, "The Way" will be featured as part of the Images of Walking Dinner and Movie series. The film is rated PG-13 and is 123 minutes. Deane Tucker will lead the discussion which will also include participants from WWC. Library programs are free and open to the public.

One of our newer novels is "We Never Asked For Wings" by Vanessa Diffenbaugh. For 14-years, Letty Espinosa worked three jobs around San Francisco to make ends meet while her mother raised her children - Alex, 15 and Luna, 6. Now her parents are returning to Mexico and Letty must step up and become a mother. She needs a plan to help the family escape the dangerous neighborhood and heartbreaking injustice that has marked their lives, but one wrong move could jeopardize everything she's worked for and her children's fragile hope for the future.

Other new fiction books include "The Stampeders" by James B. Hendryx, "The Secret Sister" by Brenda Novak, "The Summertime Girls" by Laura Hankin, "Golden Son" by Pierce Brown, "Circling the Sun" by Paula McLain, "A Bride in Store" by Melissa Jagears, "The Murderer's Daughter" by Jonathan Kellerman, "The Potter's Lady" by Judith Miller and "The Brown-Eyed Girl" by Lisa Kleypas. For the young adult there is "Stone Rider" by David Hofmeyr and "Outrage" by John Sandford. Many books are also available on CD, so if you prefer to listen be sure to check the sound recordings out.

New nonfiction books are "My Wyoming: 101 Special Places" by Bill Sniffin, "The Original Old West Cookbook: a Collection of Recipes in the Chuck Wagon, Pioneer, and Southwest Traditions" prepared by Kitchen Advance and "Quilters Academy: a Skill-building Course in Quiltmaking" by Harriet Hargrave.

The Lennea Lewis Slagle Children's Library has these new junior books, "Into the Killing Seas" by Michael P. Spradlin, "Bash and the Pirate Pig" by Burton W. Cole and "Drama" by Raina Telgemeier. Some of the new easy titles include "Unicorn thinks He's Pretty" by Bob Shea, "The Cat, the Dog, Little Red, the Exploding Eggs, the Wolf, and Grandma" by Diana Fox, "Carl's Halloween" by Alexandra Day and "If You Ever Want to Bring an Alligator to School, Don't!" by Elise Parsley.
