There are a still some openings for the fall book discussion series "Distant Neighbors." The series features twentieth-century Mexican literature and the six books offer perspectives from the early days of the revolution to the end of the century. The series is held the first Wednesday of each month at the library, September through February and is sponsored in part by the Wyoming Council for the Humanities. If you are interested in this program be sure to call the library or stop by.

New books in the adult library include the newest Harry Potter as well as "Picture Perfect" by Fern Michaels, "The Revelation" by Beverly Lewis, "Devil's Corner" by Lisa Scottoline, "Lie by Moonlight" by Amanda Quick, "Secondhand Bride" by Linda Lael Miller, "44 Scotland Street" by Alexander McCall Smith, "Eighty Miles from a Doctor" by Esther Mockler, "Railroad" by Keith Lovegrove and "1776" by David McCullough.

For the young adult, there is "Son of the Mob" by Gordon Korman and "Escape from Memory" by Margaret Peterson Haddix.

Our junior readers will enjoy "Knights of the Round Table" adapted by Gwen Gross, "Snake Camp" by Edward Stanley, and "The Boy Who Saved Baseball" by John H. Ritter.

Our younger readers will enjoy "Bear Stays Up for Christmas" by Karma Wilson.

"Fair Time" is the theme for Storyhour on Tuesday, August 2, 2005. Storyhour is held every Tuesday throughout the year for children ages three through kindergarten.
