The library will be closed Monday, December 26, 2005 for the Christmas Holiday. Normal hours resume at 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 27th.

Recently a Public Performance Site License was obtained by the library and films in addition the Independent film series are planned for your education and entertainment. To begin this new era of library service, the film, "Herbie, Fully Loaded" will be shown on Wednesday, December 28 at 1 p.m. The film is G rated and features the fun-lovin', freewheelin' '63 VW Beetle with a mind of its own. Bring your own beverages but popcorn will be provided. Currently a series "Faces of Family" is in the works with the Wyoming Council for the Humanities for fall 2006. Winners of the Niobrara County Library Foundation's Monday Night Football book are listed on the library's website at http://niobraracountylibrary.org under Upcoming Events.

New books in the adult library include "Light From Heaven" by Jan Karon, "Across the Years" by Tracie Peterson, "Dead Dry" by Sarah Andrews, "Ordinary Heroes" by Scott Turow, "The Christmas Quilt" by Jennifer Chiaverini, "The Camel Club" by David Baldacci, "Toxic Bachelors" by Danielle Steel, "Comfort and Joy" by Kristin Hannah, "Dean and Me" by Jerry Lewis and "The City of Falling Angels" by John Berendt.

For the young adult, there is "Chicks with Sticks" by Elizabeth Lenhand and "Charley Bone and the Castle of Mirrors" by Jenny Nimmo.

Our junior readers will enjoy "Shredderman: Secret Identity" by Wendelain Van Draanen, "Kringle" by Tony Abbott and "Pond Scum" by Alan Silverberg.

Our youngest readers will be sure to like "Pizza for the Queen" by Nancy Castaldo, "The Science Fair from the Black Lagoon" by Mike Thayer and "Dad, Are You the Tooth Fairy?" by Jason Alexander.

"Party Time!" is the theme for Storyhour on Tuesday, December 27, 2005. Storyhour is held every Tuesday throughout the year for children ages three through kindergarten.
