Library News

The Friends of the Library reordered their cookbook “Favorite Recipes.” Originally published in 2002 the book is full of recipes of many of Niobrara County’s finest. The cookbook is $10.00 and proceeds also benefit the Endowment Fund. As you know, meeting the Kresge Challenge was just the first step in the endowment’s long-term goal of 1.5 million. Copies are available at the library.

New books in the adult library include “Cat’s Eyewitness” by Rita Mae Brown, “Graceland” by Chris Abani, “Suspect” by Michael Robotham, “The Forgotten Man” by Robert Crais, “Prince of Fire” by Daniel Silva, “The Chrysanthemum Palace” by Bruce Wagner, “Peace is the Way” by Deepak Chopra, “Real Men Work in the Pits: a life in NASCAR Racing” by Jeff Hammond, “Never too Old to Rock and Roll” by Thomas L. Hardin and “The New Rules of Retirement” by Robert C. Carlson.

Our junior readers will enjoy “Stage Fright,” “Happy Boo-day to You,” and “Hide-and-Spook” by Marcia Thorton Jones.

For our younger readers, there is “The Red Book” by Barbara Lehman and “If You’ll be my
Valentine”
by Cynthia Rylant.

“Hop into Spring” is the theme for the next Storyhour on Tuesday, April 5 at 10 a.m. This program is held every Tuesday throughout the year from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m children 3 through
kindergarten.
