The library will be closed on Monday, May 29, 2006 for Memorial Day, regular hours resume on Tuesday.
Wednesday, May 31 the film, “The Greatest Game Ever Played” will be shown at the library at 6:30 p.m. The movie is based on the inspirational true story of young amateur golfer Francis Ouimet. Ouimet has nothing but talent and a seemingly impossible dream to challenge the world’s greatest player, his idol Harry Vardon. Soon, with the help of his spunky 10-year-old caddy Eddie, Francis boldly breaks down all barriers with a thrilling display of unrivaled drive, skill and heart and challenges the golf pro for the US Open Championship. The film is rated PG and is 121 minutes.
Registration begins May 30 for Summer Reading. “Paws, Claws, Tales and Scales” is the theme for 6 weeks of summer creativity and reading fun. The program begins on Wednesday, June 7 for children that have completed the first through 5th grades. Call or stop by for more details!
