He is a young man from the wrong side of the tracks whose dream of attending Annapolis Naval Academy becomes a reality. He gets exactly what he wants but once there, he is not sure he measures up against the best and brightest. “Annapolis” will be shown at the library on Wednesday, August 30 at 6:30. The 108 minute film stars James Franco, Jordana Brewster, Donnie Wahlberg and Tyrese Gibson and is rated PG-13.

Junior readers will enjoy “Darby – the Cow Dog!” by Diane W. Keaster and “Lightland” by H. L. McCutchen.

Our youngest readers will be sure to like “Lilly’s Big Day” by Kevin Henkes.

“1, 2, 3” is the theme for Storyhour on Tuesday, August 29 at 10 a.m. Storyhour is held each Tuesday for children that are three through kindergarten.
