Foundation receives grant funding

Niobrara County Library Foundation, Inc. receives Wyoming Community Foundation Grant

Lusk, WY – The Niobrara County Library Foundation, Inc., has been awarded a grant of $10,656.54 from the Carol McMurry Library Donor Advised Endowment Fund of the Wyoming Community Foundation.

According to Debbie Sturman, Director of the Niobrara County Library, the grant will be used for the continuing development of the Genealogy Database. “We are very excited to receive this funding,” Sturman said. “The online database is a way to preserve our local history in an easy and accessible manner. This funding will continue the part-time employment of Debbie Rose for a year and will also provide scanning equipment so that text items can be converted into a digital format easily.” The database is located at https://www.niobraracountylibrary.org.

The Wyoming Community Foundation is a philanthropic nonprofit organization that administers funds established by individuals, families, corporations, agencies and private foundations.
