Dragons Are Too Seldom Puppet Productions is coming to the Niobrara County Library sponsored by the Friends of the Library. IN THE CENTER OF THINGS is a puppet adventure dealing with bullying prevention. It will be presented as the 2nd of three Reading is Fundamental (RIF) programs on Wednesday, March 11 at 6:30 p.m. at the library. Each child in attendance will receive their very own book(s) to keep.
In The Center of Things is the story of Hedgy Hedgehog and his best friend Sally A. Wolf. Hedgy is forced into the Big Woods by the Niggle Naggles who constantly tease and pick on him. He must find his way home but not before he comes face to face with Growl, a Troll who is trying to be a friend, a bullying caterpillar, a sly fox who wants Hedgy to do his work for him, and a nasty wind with an bad attitude. Throughout Hedgy’s adventure, Sally and Growl try to help Hedgy learn how to handle bullies and get out of the Big Woods and back home safely.
Dragons Are Too Seldom Puppet Productions is a one person troupe. Markie Scholz has been performing with the Dragons for over thirty years. She has presented shows, workshops, in-service training in thirty-nine states and six countries. She combines puppetry and storytelling is a way that delights young and old.
