Thank you for your support of the library foundation’s recent fundraisers. The Krispy Kreme Doughnut fundraiser and the Shreds Document Destruction were both well received and your donations will be added to our Wyoming Public Library Endowment Challenge. To date over $64,000 has been raised towards this endowment challenge. If you would like more information about endowment be sure to visit with any library foundation member.

A new fiction book is “Still Life” by Joy Fielding. A car accident plunges Casey Marshall into a coma. Lying in her hospital bed Casey realizes that although she is unable to see or communicate, she can hear everything. She quickly learns that her friends are not necessarily the people she thought they were and that her accident might not have been an accident at all.

Other fiction includes “Danger in a Red Dress” by Christina Dodd, “The Birthday Present” by Barbara Vine, “Showdown at the Hole-in-the-Wall” by Ralph Cotton, “A Cousin’s Promise” by Wanda E. Brunstetter, “Don’t Look Twice” by Andrew Gross and “Temptation Ridge” by Robyn Carr.

New non-fiction books are “Carefree Plants: 200 Beautiful, Low-Maintenance Plants Anyone Can Grow” by Delilah Smittle, “Paul Gayler’s Sauce Book: 300 World Sauces Made Simple” by Paul Gayler and “The Subtle Body: an Encyclopedia of Your Energetic Anatomy” by Cyndi Dale.

A new young adult book is “Max” by James Patterson.

The Lennea Lewis Slagle Children’s Library has these new junior books “The Pirates of Crocodile Swamp” by Jim Arnosky and “My Friends Call Me Monster” by R. L. Stine. New easy titles are “Boo-Hoo Moo” by Margie Palatini, “Mortimer’s First Garden” by Karma Wilson and “Happy Mother’s Day” by Mercer Meyer.

“May Flowers” is the theme for Storyhour on Tuesday, May 10 and Thursday, May 12. Storyhour is held on Tuesday and Thursday from from 10 to 11 a.m. for children ages 3 through kindergarten.
